Volkswagen Slovakia was established in 1991 and is one of the most important companies in the country. It provides work for thousands employees in its plants in Bratislava, Martin and Stupava.

Bratislava plant

The Bratislava plant of Volkswagen Slovakia is the only car-producing plant in the world to manufacture five brands under one roof. It is the exclusive producer of the Volkswagen Touareg, Audi Q7, Audi Q8, Porsche Cayenne, Volkswagen up!, Volkswagen e-up!, ŠKODA Citigo and SEAT Mii. More than 99 % of its output is exported to 158 different countries.

Martin plant

The Martin plant produces components for gearboxes and chassis. The manufacturing portfolio consists of differentials, flanges, brake drums, brake discs, wheel hubs, flanged shafts and synchronous rings. Components are fitted to Volkswagen, Audi, ŠKODA, SEAT and Porsche branded cars.
With more than 800 employees, it is one of the largest employers in the Turiec region. More than 93 % percent of its output is exported and about 7 % goes to its Bratislava plant. The plant started its activities in 2000.

Stupava plant

The fourth plant, Nástrojáreň SK, was opened in Stupava in October 2014. The product portfolio of the newest plant with a 6,000 m2 hall includes welding pliers, robot grippers, jigs and protective devices which are used in the manufacturing of vehicles.
